Submission deadline for next issue: Undecided as yet, however, any poems I receive in the mean time will be in contention for Volume 2 of Velveteen Zine. Which will be in the process of production SOON, hopefully in the early half of 2009.

I aim to put out at least one issue per year. More if possible.  This is mostly dependent on available funding to cover printing costs, etc. Please bear with me as I figure out a way to make this zine financially viable. I am currently investigating alternative printing avenues in order to put out the next issue.

Velveteen Zine focuses on exposing new unpublished poetry. Please do not send us work that has already been published, or that is under consideration to be published elsewhere. Every submission you make will be read and considered carefully. Also, please send poems in normal easy-to-read font (eg. Times New Roman or Arial), funky crazy font distracts from the majesty and brilliance of your poems. And it makes me grumpy when I try to read it.

Please include a 50-word biography (written in third person) and your postal address with your submission. Poets published in Velveteen Zine will receive a copy of the publication free of charge!

At present Velveteen Zine does not have the funds necessary to offer financial payment to published poets. Instead we offer biography space and goodwill to all poets.
